Toei has announced a brand new YouTube channel that will focus on tokusatsu series from the 1960s to the 1990s. The channel will contain a variety of shows, such as Himitsu Sentai Gorenger (1975), Space Sheriff Gavan (1982), Voltes V (1977) and more.
The first and second episodes of around 70 different works will be uploaded with English subtitles. The announcement stated that after that, subtitles in different languages will be accepted, so they may be available in English later on.
Toei stated they will add a new episode every day of the week.
Toei also debuted a new mascot named Cotenmaru, who’s dream is to study Toei’s tokusatsu and one day join their ranks as a hero. Cotenmaru is powered by his favorite food, onigiri.
The beginning lineup has been released on Toei’s website:
