Amuse, the agency for Shota Matsushima, who portrayed Brain in Kamen Rider Drive, has reported he has been infected with COVID-19. The announcement was made on the official website of the agency.
According to the announcement, he was rehearsing with other performers for the upcoming stage play Untouchable Beauty. They tested on March 25, and some were found to be positive. Matsushima took a retest on recently and was found to be positive.
Also confirmed to be positive include Katsunori Uchiba, Yumi Suenari, and Aika Kuwano. Yuzuru Kurenai and Kunihiko Mitamura tested negative.
Matsushima was scheduled to perform in the play in Osaka from April 16-26. However, since nine performers were confirmed with the virus, it was canceled.
